Deputy Finance Manager

 

 

1. Objective:

Deputy finance Manager serves as key enforcer in day-to-day finance function.This position has a crucial role in company Finance department and ranked among executive management team.

2. Key Responsibilities

Preparing needed documentation for the following:
Government grant

Free trade zone set up

Supervising finance staffs for the following functions:
Treasury and cash management

Monthly Closing
Reporting to Headquarter

Special projects:
Assist in set up of ERP system

Liaison with outside consultants, CPAs
Other tasks as assigned

3. Primary activities and tasks include the following, other duties may be assigned this is only example:

  • The Deputy Finance Manager should prepare monthly analysis of cost of goods sold and operational expenses against prior year and budget, providing explanations and business solutions to help mitigate the risks
  • Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets
  • Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvement. As appropriate, based on findings make proposal for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.)
  • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met 
  • Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
  • Lease with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
  • Assist in development of internal control procedures and documentation for the company
  • Leading and training of finance staffs
  • Understand and follow company rules and regulations

This position reports to Finance Manager

6. Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

7. Education and/or Experience, Certificates:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Economics, or other Financial background
  • At least 10 years finance-related working experience, with a minimum of 3 years supervision role
  • Previous experience with manufacturing company.

Other strengths preferred (optional):

Big-four accounting firm or multi-national company experiences
Previous experience working for foreign companies

8. Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Good written and spoken English
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Ability to work in a goal oriented environment under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to working in a team environment
  • Results oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time line
